Choosing an exchange can be overwhelming. Fees, security, liquidity, available products, and user experience all directly impact your trading, but comparing them clearly is key. it's not always easyThat's why, at Exchange Selector, we developed a transparent methodology and based on data that simplifies the comparison and helps you understand which platform best suits you.
Our goal is to help you make informed decisions by offering:
- Comparison criteria explained (what we measure and why).
- Traceable sources and data.
- Updates when relevant conditions change (commissions, availability, features, etc.).

How we weight each category
Not all categories have the same impact on the actual quality of a platform. Therefore, each section within our methodology has a different weighting based on its importance to security, costs, user experience, and the user's daily operations.
How we analyze and compare exchanges:
We select which exchanges to include
We choose platforms that are relevant to users (by region/language), with available products and sufficient public transparency; we exclude those with clear signs of risk or unverifiable information.
We compare using common criteria
We evaluate comparable dimensions such as costs, liquidity/activity, market offering, security, user experience and availability by country, using observable and consistent criteria.
We check and update information
We verify data with official and reputable sources when necessary, link to third-party methodologies if external metrics are used, and update content when there are relevant changes.
How do we maintain objectivity?
Although we partner with some platforms through affiliate programs, our ratings and rankings are based solely on objective criteria, independent analysis, and real-world testing. No commercial agreement can alter our scores, recommendations, or evaluation methodology.
Trade agreements do not affect scores
Affiliate fees do not influence the rating we assign to an exchange. A platform we partner with may receive a low score if its data warrants it.
Same process for everyone
Each exchange goes through exactly the same evaluation process, regardless of whether or not there is a prior or future business relationship.
Transparency regarding income
Exchange Selector is primarily funded through affiliate fees and contextual advertising. This never determines an exchange's position in our rankings.
We exclude exchanges with risk signals
If we detect clear signs of risk to the user, such as lack of regulation, a history of unanswered hacks, or liquidity problems, the exchange does not appear in our directory regardless of any agreement.
